Arky summed up my thoughts quite nicely

It's not being lazy. I don't know about you guys, but spending 10+ minutes running around looking for a mob is not fun. It is not challenging. It's annoying, plain and simple.
Saying someone fails at vanquishing because they missed a mob is the most ridiculous statement I've read in Sardelac in awhile. If someone fails at vanquishing, they're not going to make it to the last group. Nice effort in saying people fail, though.

Anyways, it's not a bad idea. It doesn't make vanquishing easier, because finding the last mob isn't hard, it's an annoyance.

Yep, this says it all. But still certain parties get off by stroking their EPeen. I gain an [air of superiority] when I find the opportunity to accuse someone of either failing or being lazy or basically anything that will keep the peasants at my feet. Even when my accusations are loosely/ignorantly based.

QFT. On the last map that I vanquished I had to do a second complete loop of it to find one single monster that I missed on the first one. On the larger or more complicated maps, some way of finding the last mob or two would be very helpful.
IMO vanqing is mostly about being able to effectively kill everything on the map, so wasting 10+ minutes doing another complete loop is unnecessary. The title is called vanquisher and not hide and seeker for a reason.

For this problem just go to the wiki before you vanquish a map so you'd get a hint on where to strike at the appropriate time. If that don't work, personal experience doesn't hurt to much anyway. Based on those ideas, this is not really needed. Just use your wits as they can get you through well enough. Also, this would take up a lot of effort and it's said that the last huge update will be the last huge update. This would count along those lines.
